URBACT II Operational Programme (in english only)

Following the approval of the URBACT II Operational Programme by the Commission, the first URBACT II call for proposals is open, from 04 December 2007 untill 15 february 2008.

It covers the 2 thematic priorities of the programme:
Priority Axe 1 - Cities, Engines of Growth and Jobs /
Priority Axe 2 - Attractive and Cohesive Cities.

Cities and public authorities are invited to submit proposals for the creation of 23 Thematic Networks and 7 Working groups. These proposals shall be submitted to the URBACT Secretariat by 15 February 2008, in the form of a Declaration of Interest.

Proposals will address one of the seven URBACT II themes as a dominant entry point into the issue:

Priority Axe 1 – Cities, Engines of Growth and Jobs
1.1. Promoting Entrepreneurship
1.2. Improving Innovation and Knowledge Economy
1.3. Employment and Human Capital

Priority Axe 2 – Attractive and Cohesive Cities
2.1. Integrated development of deprived areas and areas at risk of deprivation
2.2. Social inclusion
2.3. Environmental issues
2.4. Governance and Urban Planning

Programme Area – Who can apply?
The programme area consists of:
• The EU 27 Member States, so-called Member States ;
• Norway and Switzerland, so-called Partner States (partners from these countries cannot make use of ERDF allocations but will be cofinanced by national contributions)

The beneficiaries of the URBACT II Programme are:
- Cities (municipalities and organized agglomerations) of the Member and Partner States;
- Regions and Member states of the Member and Partner States, as far as urban issues are concerned;
- Universities and Research centres of the Member and Partner States, as far as urban issues are concerned.

Finantare de mediu - Programul "ATITUDINE SI IMPLICARE"

Fundatia pentru Parteneriat din Miercurea-Ciuc lanseaza programul de finantare "ATITUDINE SI IMPLICARE" destinat organizatiilor neguvernamentale de mediu din România.

Programul va cuprinde trei runde de finantare si se va derula în perioada 2006 -2009.

Misiunea programului este de a înlesni, de a întari si de a sprijini activitatile de tip advocacy si watchdog ale ONG-urilor de mediu din România cu scopul de a mari contributia acestor organizatii la dezvoltarea politicilor de mediu, precum si în ceea ce priveste monitorizarea implementarii legislatiei nationale si a UE din domeniul protectiei mediului.Programul beneficieaza de cofinantare din partea Trust for Civil Society in Central and Eastern Europe si ca atare doreste sa contribuie la sporirea responsabilitatii, transparentei si eficientei institutiilor publice cât si la întarirea suportului civic, promovând democratia printre cetateni si angrenând/implicând si alti factori interesati.

Obiectivele principale ale programului:
-Crearea si întarirea unei retele de advocacy si watchdog privind mediul în România;-
-Îmbunatatirea implementarii legislatiei de mediu prin activitati de constientizare, monitorizare si responsabilizare la nivel local si national-
-Analiza politicilor de mediu si initierea dialogului cu privire la acestea între ONG-uri si organele decizionale; -
-Constientizarea si luarea de atitudine împotriva initiativelor ilegale si/sau daunatoare mediului prin implicare publica.

Luminous Landscape - -Granturi pentru Campanii Foto

Luminous Landscape a anuntat deschiderea sesiunii de cereri pentru granturi pentru proiecte fotografice.

Se pot inscrie fotografi din toata lumea, solicitind fonduri pentru: seminare, workshop-uri, cursuri, imprimari de fotografii, carti, portofolii, sau pentru calatorii fotografice, etc., dar nu pentru cumparare de echipament fotografic.

Cererile vor fi evaluate de: Stephen Johnson, Charles Cramer, Seth Resnick, Ian Lyons, Alain Briot, Nick Rains, John Paul Caponigro, Michael Johnston si Michael Reichmann.

Cererile vor trebui depuse in perioada 12 ianuarie - 11 februarie 2008; cele acceptate vor beneficia de sume intre 1.000 si 5.000 USD, vor trebui sa inceapa in maximum 6 luni de la aprobare si sa se deruleze intr-un interval de maximum 12 luni.
